We found Smithers Photography while searching for local photographers who offered more than just full day packages. We wanted to spend more time with our guests than taking pictures, which is why we chose the four hour package. Clint and Mareike are very talented photographers, professional and easy to work with. They listened to what we wanted and took that on board. The photos really captured the essence of the day. We had a chance before the ceremony to have photos with our guests and after that Clint and Mareike blended into the background taking amazing photos for the remainder of the evening. We got married on 6th of November after many postponements & date changes due to Covid. Throughout this whole process Clint and Mareike were absolutely amazing, understanding and so comforting. Clint and Mareike were wonderful to work with, and we are beyond happy with the photographs provided. They both took photos on the day, which allowed us to get multiple perspectives of the ceremony and different aspects of the reception. Smithers Photography was recommended by our wedding venue. They were super easy to work with and listened to what I wanted. I didn't want a bunch of staged photos of myself and Dave; I wanted to capture candid moments of us and our guests and they nailed it. I have a happy balance of photos that will last a lifetime. The day was amazing and our photos are a true reflection of it.

Flying colours for these guys! Honestly, their communication was amazing, particularly seeing we had our wedding during COVID, and plans could have changed at any time. They went above and beyond on the day, even traveling to three different locations across the Hunter Valley and Newcastle for us. I could not recommend them enough.

Clint & Mareike were very thorough in the lead up to the wedding, during and afterwards. We had planned to hold the ceremony in a park, with reception at a function room. Unfortunately there was terrible weather and some flooding. They offered to come to our house instead where they took some lovely photos and then were there to photograph our relocated ceremony and after party. What a crazy day, but their calm manner got us through. Our photos arrived in just a few weeks and were beautiful.
